District Football

Thanks to everyone who attended the football in Carrickfergus. It was an enjoyable night and the weather held out for the most part, with only the semi finals and final being a total wash out. Congratulations to Jordanstown Jets who went home with the trophy. Joining them in the county competition will be 1st Carnfunnock and 5th Carrickfergus.

Unfortunately the Sixer/Seconder Challenge Day will not be going ahead as there was a lack of interest. If you do not intend to bring your pack to an event please let me know. This saves me wasting my time chasing groups up as the deadline approaches.

Sports Night

The Sports Night will be at Greenisland War Memorial Sports Club on Friday 3rd May. As was discussed at the recent District Leader Meeting this is because the club have their Awards Night on our original date, Friday 10th May 2019.
I will endeavour to get out to as many Groups as possible as we come into Spring. Please let me know if you are doing anything away from your halls and I will try to get down and join you. Continue your good work in enhancing the profile of Scouting in SE Antrim.
It’s hard to believe that summer is just around the corner and camps are fast approaching. Please remember to fill in a nights away notification form and leave it with the DC before you go. As was discussed at the Leader Meeting in Greenisland I will not be going ahead with the District day out in order to help push the County visit to W5 and the NI visit to Tayto Park. Please let Sharon and Ciaran know of your intentions to attend or not attend these events.
